Child and Adolescent Therapy
“Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.” Oscar Wilde
THE OVERVIEW
What is child and adolescent therapy?
Children and adolescents are constantly learning how to understand their emotions, navigate relationships, and make sense of the world around them. I provide developmentally appropriate therapy that gives kids and teens a supportive space to feel understood while building skills for managing emotions, navigating friendships, communicating their needs, and coping with challenges at home and school. Depending on a child's age and needs, therapy may include creative activities, play, conversation, and practical skills, with parents involved as an important part of the process.
Who it’s for
Child and adolescent therapy may be a good fit for kids and teens who are:
Struggling with anxiety, big emotions, or overwhelm
Having difficulty with friendships or social situations
Experiencing challenges at school or with academic pressure
Struggling with confidence, self-esteem, or identity
Having difficulty managing anger, frustration, or disappointment
Wanting support developing emotional regulation and coping skills
